The Musandam trip crosses the border at Dibba (passport required; visa fees for some nationalities) and boards a traditional dhow for a day among the fjords of the Omani peninsula: cliffs dropping into clear water, dolphins in the morning, snorkelling stops and a buffet lunch on board. A long day, about 12 hours door to door.
