Private days with your own driver

Dubai is a two-hour drive from almost everything else worth seeing in the UAE, and the day trips are the part of a holiday people are most surprised by. Abu Dhabi is a different city with the most beautiful mosque in the Gulf and a Louvre on the sea. Musandam is an Omani enclave of sea cliffs and dolphins. Hatta is mountains, a turquoise lake and cool air. Al Ain is a UNESCO oasis and a camel market that has not changed in a century.

We run these as shared minibus tours with a guide, or as private days with your own driver and a schedule you set. Every tour includes hotel pickup from Dubai and the northern emirates, entrance fees where stated, and a guide who knows the dress rules at the mosque and where to eat.

Below: the tours themselves, what they cost, and how to choose the right day for your group.

معلومات مفيدة

How long is the Abu Dhabi day?+

About ten hours door to door: pickup at 8 am, back around 6 pm. The mosque, the Corniche, Emirates Palace from outside, the Louvre or Qasr Al Watan, and lunch.

What do I wear to the Grand Mosque?+

Loose clothing covering shoulders, arms and legs for everyone; women also cover their hair. Abayas are lent free at the entrance if needed. No tight or transparent clothing.

Do I need a visa for Musandam?+

Musandam is Oman. Most nationalities get a border stamp on the tour with a passport; a few need a pre-arranged Omani visa. We check for your nationality when you book.

Are the tours suitable for children?+

Abu Dhabi and Hatta yes for all ages; Musandam is a long day with a boat and suits children from about five. Car seats are available on private tours on request.

Shared or private?+

Shared tours are excellent value and follow a fixed route. Private tours cost more but leave when you like, skip what you do not care about and stop for photos on demand. For families and groups of four or more, private is often close in price.
