Hatta is the mountain enclave on the Oman border: a turquoise dam with kayaks and pedal boats, a restored heritage village, the Hatta Wadi Hub with ziplines and mountain biking, and the road itself through the red Hajar rock. A good day out for families in the cooler months; the dam is closed on some summer days for heat.
